NIHERST presents the Teach ME 2026 Teachers’ Virtual Curriculum Competition
This competition is open to all registered primary school teachers and secondary school Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics teachers for the creation of the best virtual curriculum video lessons in Trinidad and Tobago!.
Eligibility
The competition is open to eligible teachers; however, to encourage broader participation, individuals who have placed in the competition on three (3) or more occasions, whether consecutively or otherwise, are not eligible to participate.
Description
The competition will be held for the teachers of primary and secondary schools of Trinidad and Tobago. Final participants would be judged and awarded in the two (2) following categories:
- Primary Schools
- Secondary Schools

Competition Focus
This year’s edition will highlight Artificial Intelligence (AI) as an emerging and transformative tool in STEM education
Aims
The Teachers’ Curriculum Science Lessons Video Competition aims:
- To create a series of short video lessons tailored to primary and secondary school curricula.
- To support teachers by developing their teaching, digital, and presentation skills.
- To be used as a tool to aid teachers in the classroom.
Prizes
Up to forty five thousand dollars ($45,000) in Gift of Units from the Unit Trust Corporation to be WON.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of the primary and secondary categories in the following format:
- 1st - $10,000
- 2nd - $7,500
- 3rd - $5,000
