A lifelong aficionado and proponent of all things science, James Khan is a leader in digital fabrication and hands-on STEM education. For over 14 years he has been a senior innovation technician with the technical team at the NIHERST Fab Lab, where he plays a key role in developing prototypes, training educators, and mentoring the next generation of STEM enthusiasts. James has extensive training in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Queen’s University in Canada and is near completion of his Fab Academy diploma in digital fabrication from the Fab Foundation. His expertise spans designing and implementing interactive STEM projects that bridge theoretical concepts with real-world applications, with increased emphasis in robotics and programming, and engaging diverse age groups in innovation and science popularisation. Passionate about lifelong learning, he actively collaborates with stakeholders to drive new ideas and initiatives, ensuring that STEM education remains dynamic and accessible.
