The NIHERST Fab Lab will be hosting a series of VIRTUAL/ IN-PERSON activities in commemoration World Creativity and Innovation Week (WCIW). WCIW is a global celebration held annually from April 15 to 21. The last day of the celebration is the United Nations designated World Creativity and Innovation Day (WCID). During this time, the world is invited to embrace the idea that creativity and innovation is essential for harnessing the economic potential of nations. Our commemoration of WCIW is aligned to NIHERST’s mandate: “to enhance the innovative, creative and entrepreneurial capabilities of the general population”.

Details: Showcase of digital fabrication equipment and sample creations, and demonstrations of the prototypes discussed during the webinar series. Displays by external agencies within the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The activities scheduled from April 15th to 21st are open to all nationals of Trinidad and Tobago and abroad, ages 16 and over.

NIHERST's commemoration of this week is intended to pique interest and build capacity in the use of the Fab Lab to design, create, invent, prototype and solve problems. We also hope to encourage enrolment in the global Fab Lab network and enable Trinidad and Tobago's population to explore creative, innovative and entrepreneurial undertakings.
