Dr. Emilie Ramsahai (PhD Statistics), is a consulting Data Scientist who was awarded the international Arturo Falaschi ICGEB Fellowship to further her research in Integrative Biology. Her research involves the use of gene interaction networks to improve the identification of cancer driving genes. She specialises in Bioinformatics and believes that due to its cross-disciplinary nature, collaboration with teams of specialists in different fields is unavoidable, potentially leading to the organic creation of a research team involved in developing pharmaceutical drugs within the borders of Trinidad and Tobago.

Her fellowship was based in New Delhi, India and involved working with the Bioinformatics group at the ICGEB lab. She continues to publish and collaborate with a number of researchers in this area.
